Our third ‘Contextual’ poetry reading, held last night, was well attended; twenty-six people turning up for a relaxed hour of poetry. Once again, the evening was a success thanks to our super readers – and to contributions of all who attended the virtual event.
Our main reader was Julia Usman whose collection She Who Sings Is Not Always Happy was published by Coverstory books last year. She was supported with great contributions from Christina, Colin, Helen, and David
The format of the hour-long session worked well: a main reader supported by a number of others, displaying the poems being read on-screen during the reading, and providing listeners with the opportunity to comment interactively, both verbally and in the Zoom chat window.
‘Contextual 4’ is likely to be held on Wednesday 23rd February @ 19:30 (UK time). Invitations to read will be sent out in the next day or so.
