Our twelfth Contextual virtual poetry reading event will take place on Thursday 27th October starting at 19:30 Uk-time.
Given the session represents the conclusion of a year’s span of Contextual meetings, it will follow more of an ‘open mic’ format in that there will be no main reader. We will still follow the process of identifying readers in advance and – if selected – those reading will need to submit the poem they plan to read before the event. You should not simply turn up and expect to read. We hope to have c.12-15 readers at the session, and in order to get as many people reading as is practical, poems must be no longer than one side of A4 and limited to one poem per reader.
Priority will be given to those who have been regular Contextual attendees over the past 12 months, or who have appeared in New Contexts anthologies. At the time of this post primary slots have already been allocated – though can still register an interest for a ‘reserve’ slot.
