Coverstory books is excited to be working on a new publication, “Pins & Feathers: Three Plays”. Written by Kate Miller – one of them in collaboration with Emma Blowers and Erin Thompson – this will be her second appearance under the Coverstory books imprint, following on from her contribution to Triple Measures, a collection of poetry published earlier this year.
Kate’s pedigree as a playwright is indisputable. Following a career in journalism, she gained an MA in playwriting from Essex University and co-founded Pins & Feathers Productions with Richard Syms. As well as these three plays, for Pins & Feathers she has written First Light – a contemporary Passion Play (2015) and Plenty of Punch (2016). Other plays include: The Noose of Light, about Edward Fitzgerald, the 19th century poet, produced by WriteOn, performed at the ADC Theatre Cambridge; Circlemakers, a short radio play, broadcast on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, produced by Menagerie Theatre, Cambridge; Another Fine Mess, produced at the Queen Mother Theatre, Hitchin, Herts; Shipton Blank, one of five winners in Equity / Writers’ Guild / Directors’ Guild competition, produced at Riverside Studios, London.
