John Scarborough trained in social work and probation. He finds inspiration in nature and the human condition. His poems have been published in Orbis, Reach, Spelt, Black Bough, Acumen, The Dawntreader, High Window, Ekphrastic Review, Littoral Magazine, George Orwell Studies and Dreamcatcher. The poem, ‘To Siobahn’ was shortlisted for the Reach Autumn Poetry prize 2023.
In the Blue Hour is his debut collection.
John is a member of Nunthorpe Poets. He lives in Louth with his partner, Sheri.
